Probation violations result in prison term

A 44-year-old Gardnerville Ranchos man who stole from his parents was sent to prison Monday for six years after his probation was revoked. William J. Ledford Jr., must serve a minimum of 16 months before he is eligible for parole. “Your record is one full of excuses, complications and finger-pointing at others,” said District Judge Michael Gibbons. “It’s time for you to take responsibility for your own actions.” Ledford admitted numerous probation violations on Monday, but asked Gibbons for another opportunity to complete drug court. “I need rehabilitation more than I need prison,” he said.
