Woman gets prison in theft

A 36-year-old Carson City woman, who drained nearly $4,000 from the bank account of her brother while he was in the military, lost her probation Monday for too many violations in a deferred sentence. District Judge Michael Gibbons ordered Kristi Lynn Reed to serve 12-48 months in Nevada state prison. He gave her credit for 130 days in custody. She pleaded guilty in 2010 to felony theft. “It‘s very sad to see after all that you’re still sitting here,” Gibbons said.
