ROP runaway in jail after month on the run

An 18-year-old runaway from Rite of Passage in Minden turned himself in Thursday, just a few hours after Douglas County Secret Witness offered a reward for information about his whereabouts.

On Feb. 14, Seth Rogers of Gardnerville, then 17, ran away from Rite of Passage in Minden, and a warrant was issued for his arrest.

He was believed to be somewhere in Douglas County, going from house-to-house staying with friends.

Sgt. Pat Brooks said Rogers turned himself in at 10 p.m. Thursday. He was being held in Douglas County Jail without bail.
