A man serving a 9-year sentence in federal prison for possession of child pornography was sentenced in abstentia on Tuesday.
Jarrod A. Pounds, 29, isn’t expected to be released until 2021, his attorney said.
He was in the drug court program when federal authorities arrested him last summer in the pornography case.
Prosecutor Tom Gregory agreed that his Douglas County sentences could be served concurrently with the prison sentence.
He received 1-3 years for possession of a controlled substance and 1-3 years for being under the influence of a controlled substance.
In December, Pounds was sentenced to 110 months in prison. He pleaded guilty in September to possession of child pornography. Pounds possessed approximately 7,500 images and 40 videos of child pornography on his laptop computer and external computer hard drives, according to federal officials.
