The R-C Morning Report for April 11

The official opening of the 10.5-mile Clear Creek Trail is 10 a.m. Saturday at the Jacks Valley Trailhead on Jacks Valley Road. The Carson Valley Trails Association is hosting events through the weekend.

For a more sedate activity on Saturday the Kiwanis Club is hosting ham bingo at 3 p.m. and 6 p.m. at the CVIC Hall in Minden. And you could win a ham.

The Presido Brass quintet is performing 7 p.m. today at the CVIC Hall for the Carson Valley Arts Council. Tickets are $28 at the door.

It was another warm night, and we may see some fireworks from Mother Nature today after 11 a.m. The high is supposed to hit 75 degrees. Wind will be out of the west at 5-10 mph unless an actual thunderstorm arrives, then it will be a little stronger.
