New company formed at airport

A joint venture between two aviation companies will be celebrated with a ribbon cutting ceremony 11 a.m. Monday at Minden-Tahoe Airport.

Tahoe Aviation is a venture by APRI Aviation Inc. and Falcon Aerospace, providing aeronautical and aviation services for the West Coast.

APRI President Arnold Peterson said he anticipated the addition of several support personnel and a new 26,000 square foot hangar.

Falcon Aerospace is the leading supplier and distributor of standard and nonstandard metals in the aerospace and defense industries, according to its web site.

APRI is an aviation services company which provides leased hangar space, mechanical maintenance, aircraft sales, service and management to the corporate aircraft community, according to a statement issued by Douglas County.
