Pahrump resident killed in Hawthorne accident

A Pahrump woman was killed Friday in a rollover accident caused by a patch of ice on Highway 95 near Walker Lake. Angelina C. Lopez, 36, was a passenger in a 1966 Chevrolet pickup driven by Crescent Valley resident Steven D. Gordon, 60. Gordon received minor injuries in the accident, and has been treated and released. According to Nevada Highway Patrol Trooper Chuck Allen, evidence at the scene indicated the northbound pickup hit a patch of ice, which sent it spinning off the pavement.
