Luri, Turbeville promoted
Carlo Luri, former general manager of Bently Biofuels Co., has been promoted to director of business development for Bently Enterprises.
He has been with the company for 10 years.
Christopher Turbeville, takes over as plant manager of Bently Biofuels operation in Minden.
Turbeville, a biochemist, has been with the company for seven years, having started out as a process chemist.
Mark Walker has been named interim dean of the University of Nevada, Reno Cooperative Extension.
Walker, named to a two-year term, succeeds Jerry Buk.
Walker previously served as chair of the Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Sciences for the College of Agriculture, Biotechnology and Natural Resources.
Walker earned a bachelor’s degree in English and journalism from Binghamton University, the State University of New York, and joined the Peace Corps following graduation. He obtained his master’s degree in water resources administration from the University of Arizona and a doctorate in soil and water engineering from Cornell University.
Laury Macauley, of counsel in the law office of Lewis and Roca LLP, has been appointed to the editorial board of Nevada Lawyer, the official publication of the State Bar of Nevada.
Macauley will serve a three-year term on the board.
She practices in Lewis and Roca’s bankruptcy and creditors’ rights practice group.
