Education Foundation seeking new members

Members of the Douglas County Education Foundation are recruiting new members to their board and volunteers to help with their projects. The foundation is celebrating 30 years of providing grants to educators and recognizing outstanding teachers by hosting the annual Teacher of the Year. President Blaine Spires said the Teacher of the Year banquet and Run Ed Run are the organization’s main fundraising event. He told members of the Douglas County School Board that the organization is losing a number of its board members, and is hoping to recruit new volunteers.
