Not much weather between now and New Year’s

With sunny skies and warm temperatures forecast for most of the rest of 2013, there’s little chance December will make much of a mark in Carson Valley’s water picture. A long-range forecast issued Thursday by the National Weather Service indicates a chance for above average temperatures and below average precipitation through January. Douglas isn’t by itself, with all Nevada counties and those California counties along the state line, all designated drought disaster areas. Most of Nevada is in severe drought or greater.
