Named “America’s Best Lake” in 2012 by USA Today readers, Tahoe South boosters are hoping to win the ski title this year.
“We’re looking for a sweep,” said Carol Chaplin, executive director of the Lake Tahoe Visitors Authority. “USA Today readers let the nation know in 2012 which lake was No. 1. Winning ‘Best Ski Destination’ would be the perfect way to begin the New Year.”
Chaplin said voting is encouraged daily through the duration of the poll. Go to www.bitly.com/votetahoesouth and with two clicks it’s complete. Participants can opt to provide an email address and share their selection across social media channels.
Nathan Borchelt, a national ski-travel journalist, selected the field of finalists, with Tahoe South among them. The winning ski destination will be announced Jan. 1.
