A TRE man accused of forging and cashing checks worth $1,230 from the account of a blind man faces sentencing today. Adam William Westmark, 24, is charged with grand larceny against a person 60 or older, or against a vulnerable person; and forgery against a person 60 or older or against a vulnerable person faces sentencing today and a probation violation.

One of the men accused in the burglaries of the Genoa Bar and two homes is scheduled to appear for arraignment in Douglas County District Court today. Lenox Lacour, 29, who is in prison in connection with the February theft of several cars in Carson City, faces three felonies in connection with the Genoa burglary spree.

Expect the wind to pick up this morning as a strong cold front heads into Western Nevada. We should see the worst of it in the afternoon and evening, with 25-35 mph winds gusting to 50 mph. Expect strong crosswinds on highways 395 and 88.

The wind storm will blow open the freezer door, bringing a chance of snow to the Valley floor early Tuesday morning. Expect high temperatures in the 30s Wednesday through Friday with overnight temperatures in single digits. Today expect gusty winds with a high of 63 degrees.
