The R-C Morning Report for Nov. 22

It’s below freezing out, but the roads are dry in the Valley this morning. There isn’t any activity for Western Nevada on the Nevada Highway Patrol site, so it looks like a safe commute today. There appears to be some activity on the CHP blog around Truckee, which shouldn’t be a surprise.

We’re going to see the reverse of the usual weather pattern today with reasonably light winds (for Nevada) on this side of the Sierra and a rager on the west slope. A high wind warning is in effect until 4 a.m. Saturday for Yosemite to Kings Canyon, with northeast winds 30-40 mph, gusting to 60-70 mph. The National Weather Service is warning people to look out for debris and tree damage.

Meanwhile expect 10-15 mph winds on our side of the mountain and a high near 40 degrees, under somewhat sunny skies.
