Yerington family newest Centennial Ranch inductee

A Yerington family was one of two inducted into the Nevada Centennial Ranch and Farm Program on Friday at the Nevada-California Cattlemen’s Convention in Sparks. Manha Farm in Yerington and the Martin Ranch near Eureka were recognized for their long-time contributions to Nevada’s agricultural heritage. The Manha Farm was purchased in 1912 by Antone Manha, who raised dairy cattle and hay. Grandson William and Lorraine Manha lease out the farm that now raises premium garlic and alfalfa hay. Jim Barbee, Nevada Department of Agriculture director, presented the award on behalf of Gov. Brian Sandoval to Bill and son Tony Manha. …
