The R-C Morning Report for Oct. 23

A tractor-trailer rig eastbound on Highway 50 was reported to be on fire at about 7:10 a.m. Fire and law enforcement is responding to the catch up to the truck.

As I was driving into work today at zero-dark thirty, a pickup with California plates came up on me pretty fast in Minden and rode my bumper until I changed lanes, before it shot down the highway running up on some other poor motorist before jogging into the slow lane and around that person. The pickup made it through Minden, but he didn’t make it through Gardnerville before a deputy stopped him.

Expect pretty much the same weather today as we had on Tuesday and Monday before that. We’ll see sunny skies with a high of 75 degrees, and the wind calm then out of the east at 5 mph in the afternoon.
