State health exchange faring better than others

The head of Nevada’s health insurance exchange told lawmakers Tuesday that, while there are still glitches in the system, Nevada’s exchange is doing much better than those in many other places, including the federally facilitated health exchange that is managing the process for some 30 states. Jon Hager said 164,000 people have visited the Nevada Health Link website and more than 2,000 have selected a health insurance plan. “We expect that most people will pay for their health insurance at the end of November into December,” he said.
