Men admit burglary, robbery attempt

Two men pleaded guilty Tuesday to charges they attempted to rob a convenience store with a BB gun, and stole coins from a Gardnerville laundry. Angel Razo-Ortega, 25, and Tanner Cooper, 21, both pleaded guilty to burglary and attempted robbery. In exchange for their guilty pleas, the district attorney’s office has agreed to recommend probation which could include up to a year in Douglas County Jail. They face a maximum of up to 20 years in prison and a $10,000 fine. District Judge Tod Young set sentencing for Nov. 19. They won’t be charged with passing fraudulent checks at Sharkey’s …
