Tigers home opener tonight

After facing tradition-rich Reno and McQueen programs on the road back-to-back to open its season, the Douglas High football team finally gets to play at home tonight. The schedule isn’t getting any easier, unfortunately, as the Tigers host two-time defending Division I Northern Region champion Reed. No problem. Douglas (0-2) is looking forward to the challenge presented by Reed (1-0) and ready to bounce back from those losses against Reno (28-21) and McQueen (40-14), according to coach Ernie Monfiletto. “We are going to rebound,” Monfiletto said. “We’re working to eliminate mistakes and we’re going to get after them the best …
