Visitor’s Authority seeking savvy horsewoman

The Carson Valley Visitors Authority has an immediate job opening for a “storyteller on horseback.” The travel and tourism organization is looking for a horse savvy woman to become the “Carson Valley Rider,” and promote the region’s “Rugged. Relaxed. Reachable.” brand to visitors and residents. Tourism is Douglas County’s No. 1 industry. With more than 850 hotel rooms, three casinos, 100 restaurants, 30 outdoor outfitters, numerous outdoor recreational activities, 325 RV hookups and more than 20,000 square feet of conference space, the CVVA wants to spread the news in a memorable way to maximize tourism and attention for the region. …
