Authorities believe teen back in South Carolina

The South Lake Tahoe Police Department reported Friday afternoon authorities believe a 16-year-old runaway named Autumn Ellison is back in South Carolina.

SLTPD received word from the Mount Pleasant Police Department that their investigation confirmed Eliison has returned to her home state.

She has not been returned to her family, but South Carolina officials are confident she is no longer in the Tahoe area.

Ellison is described as a white female, 5-feet, 1-inch tall, 100 pounds, with long brown hair and blue eyes. She has been been missing since July 7.

Officials believed she was at Lake Tahoe, associating with friends she knew locally or in the Reno area.

There has been a social media page dedicated to communicating information regarding Autumn Ellison: www.facebook.com/findautumnellison.

South Lake Tahoe Police said South Carolina officials expressed their appreciation to local media and the public for their help.
