Mono 911 will be out in Bridgeport starting at midnight

The 911 lines in the Bridgeport area will be temporarily unavailable starting at midnight tonight and lasting until 2 a.m. Friday due to work Verizon will be conducting.

Anyone with an emergency between midnight and 2 a.m., may call the Mono County Sheriff’s Office business lines, which won’t be affected, according to spokeswoman Jennifer Hansen.

Call (760) 932-7549 and press 7 for dispatch. The outage is only projected to last for two hours and will affect the Bridgeport area.

Neither Douglas nor Alpine counties are affected by the outage.

Local fire stations in the Bridgeport area will not be manned, so call the business lines in an emergency. If 911 is dialed during this outage, it will be re-routed to Inyo County and they will notify our dispatch of the emergency.
