The RC Morning Report for July 8

Sentencing is scheduled for this morning for a woman accused of taking money from the accounts of her elderly customers while she worked for a bank. Jeanne Dey, 29, faces up to 10 years in prison, but could get probation in order to pay $58,675 back to her former employer. The bank covered its customers’ losses.

The University Cooperative Extension is hosting a film for community gardeners 2:30 p.m. at its offices on Waterloo across from Lampe Park.

While the weather isn’t going to do much to help firefighters today, it won’t quite be as windy as the last three days. Expect a high temperature of 93 degrees under sunny skies. The Zephyr picks up around 2 p.m. at 10-15 mph, with gusts of 30 mph.
