Accident north of Mono Lake

Emergency units are on their way to a 7:23 a.m. accident involving a recreational vehicle at the intersection of highways 167 and 395 just north of Mono Lake.

Tacos, Carson Valley days

Tonight, the Elks are having taco night 5-7 p.m. at the lodge on Kimmerling, and the Douglas Democratic Central Committee members are working on their plans for Carson Valley Days, which is June 6-9.

Frosty morn

It’s 31 degrees out in Genoa this morning, but warming up fast. Today’s forecast to warm up to 63 degrees, but yesterday was supposed to be cooler than it actually was, so expect a high temperature somewhere in the upper 60s and lower 70s. It will still be breezy, with wind gusts of up to 25 mph.
