Planning Commission

Douglas County planning commissioners are tackling the adding design standards for Stateline to the county manual as part of the continued effort to bring the county’s lake portions under its local control as set forth in the TRPA’s revised strategic plan. The commission meets at 1 p.m. in the historic Douglas County courthouse, 1616 Eighth St.

In court this morning

Admitted dirtbike thieves Taylor Monge, 20, and Brian Ray Hearold, 19, are up for sentencing today in Douglas County District Court. Both men face up to five years in prison, and yet neither did very well when they were released on their own recognizance pending sentencing.

Another nice day

We’re looking at sunny skies and a high temperature near 81 degrees this morning. Winds will pick up later this morning, 10-15 mph, gusting to 25 mph this afternoon.
