Edgewood Tahoe Golf Course, featuring views of Lake Tahoe and the Sierra Nevada, will open for its 45th season on Thursday.
The launch of the 2013 season comes on the heels of more than $1.6 million in course improvements, including upgrades to the irrigation system and the incorporation of drought and stress-tolerant turf.
The ongoing commitment to keep the course in top condition is part of a 10- year environmental master plan designed to improve the course’s environmental impact and reduce water usage. The course will feature new golf carts equipped with DSGTag GPS system that provides yardage, individual hole videos, and tips from the pro at every hole.
Mid-week rates will be $140 per round during peak playing time and $110 for twilight golf.
Weekend rates will be $160 during peak hours and $130 for twilight.
The course is located a short distance from Stateline resorts and casinos, Edgewood also offers packages aimed to entice golf lovers to stay and experience all that springtime in Lake Tahoe has to offer.
Season Opening Packages will start at $159 for a mid-week stay at Harvey’s Lake Tahoe, including one room night and prime tee times.
Edgewood’s lakefront lodge, Twin Pines, which was designed by Julia Morgan, and The Beach House are both available for lodging as well.
