The RC Morning Report for April 26

Minden hires Carson legal firm

Minden went to Carson City for an attorney. The town selected Ryan Russell of the Carson firm Allison, MacKenzie, Pavlakis, Wright & Fagan, Ltd. Thursday night. Minden resident Michael McCormick withdrew from the running, but Michael Rowe and Chuck Zumpft were still on the list.

New director in town

The Family Support Council is introducing its new executive director, Shirley A. Gibson 5:30-7:30 p.m. at the Carson Valley Inn. The organization is celebrating 30 years in Carson Valley. If you’d like to go, call 782-8692 to let them know you’re coming.

Warming up

It’s going to be a warm weekend, with the high temperature cracking 80 on Saturday and Sunday. Today it will get close with a high temperature of 77 degrees. Careful, though, just because there isn’t the potential for a freeze in the next week doesn’t mean it’s safe to plant the tomatoes, yet.
