Prom rolls out the red carpet Saturday

The theme this year for the Douglas High School prom is “a night in the spotlight,” evoking Hollywood, the red carpet, and all the glamor of movie stars.

“It should be a great time again,” said DHS teacher and activities coordinator Karen Lamb. “Kids are working hard, and it is so nice to have advisors to support them.”

Prom will run 8-11:30 p.m. Saturday at Genoa Lakes Resort Course.

The event was planned by junior class officers, including junior class President Jake Wartgow, Vice President Katie McCullough, Secretary Kelsey Nalder, and Commissioner Emily Gosselin.

Teachers Marc Walling and Dani Esquivel served as junior class advisors.
