The Boys & Girls Club of Western Nevada, Carson Valley branch is having its annual fundraiser Flight for Kids on May 11 in the Hutt Aviation Hangar at the Minden-Tahoe Airport.
All proceeds from this event will benefit the Boys & Girls Club in Gardnerville.
“We’re hoping to bring in $50,000. We’re averaging about 40 more kids after school than last year,” director Shannon Harris said. “We’re building strong futures for our kids. This fundraiser is very important.”
Headlining the event will be Michael Pritchard, a nationally acclaimed keynote speaker praised by the Wall Street Journal, CNN and Time Magazine for his ability to use humor to inspire and educate his audiences on communication skills.
Pritchard has performed with many of America’s top comedians, including Robin Williams, Jerry Seinfeld, Jay Leno and Whoopi Goldberg.
“We’re thrilled to welcome Michael Pritchard for the Flight for Kids fundraiser,” said Committee Chairwoman, Jeri Johnson. “Michael uses humor to help initiate positive change in youth across America, he is an unforgettable talent, and we are excited for an unforgettable evening.”
