Gotta Dance steps up the cash

Scott Smith of Re/Max Realty Affiliates is still deciding where to put his two-foot tall disco ball trophy. The Minden resident and his partner, Ann Peters, won first place in the Suicide Prevention Network fundraiser Gotta Dance on Friday night. “I was shocked. I didn’t think we’d win. There was some great dancers,” Smith said. “I was lucky I got Ann. She was a great teacher.” The couple danced the jive to the Billy Joel song, “It’s Still Rock and Roll To Me.“ “I fund raise better than I dance. I was the guy in the nerd suit,” Smith said. …
