The Douglas High baseball team certainly didn’t suffer a lack of offense through its first five games of the season. After opening the season Thursday with an 11-0 win over Fallon, the Tigers rattled off a 12-2 win over Truckee, an 8-4 win over Spanish Springs and an 11-1 win over Carson. Douglas also fell 7-6 to Reed as the Tigers tallied 47 hits and 41 runs in five games. Douglas ran its record to 3-0 with the Truckee and Spanish Springs wins on Friday. “It was up and down the lineup in both games,” Douglas coach Bruce Jacobsen said. …
