The R-C Morning Report for Sept. 2

The Ranch at Gardnerville is going before the town board asking for approval of a variety of changes to a multi-family project at Gillman Avenue and Heybourne Road. Among the variances sought are approval of private roads without sidewalks, reduction of the right of way, tandem parking and a waiver of the requirement for five RV storage spaces. Gardnerville Town Board members meet 4:30 p.m. at the town offices, 1407 Main St.

Kinsey Way residents in Genoa are seeking some means to make their neighborhood less attractive to motorists looking for a way around downtown. They’re asking for speed bumps during Candy Dance at tonight’s meeting, and then something more permanent in the future. Genoans meet 6:30 p.m.

All the law & motion calendars for the past six months have been wiped from the court clerk’s Web site. District Judge Tod Young is expected to hold court this morning.

Expect sunny skies and a high temperature of 91 degrees today. The wind will be out of the southwest, 5-10 mph, increasing to 10-15 mph this afternoon.
