Carson Valley Medical Center’s 2014 Fall Classic Golf Tournament and Oktoberfest is quickly approaching.
Presented by the Hospital Foundation, this year’s event will be held at Genoa Lakes Golf Course on Sept. 12.
Individual golfers and foursomes are invited to register for the tournament in the spirit of “Taking a Swing for a Healthier Community.”
The tournament is a fundraiser to support the Hospital Foundation’s goals of improving the quality of healthcare services for the residents and visitors of Carson Valley.
This year the proceeds will go toward the purchase of an upgrade to the hospital’s cardiac and respiratory monitoring equipment.
“This is a fun day for the community to come out and support local healthcare services,” said Shannon Albert, director of development and outreach. “We wouldn’t be able to host this event without the support of our key sponsors Biofilm Management, GE, Renown Health, GI Consultants, Ultragroup, Gardnerville Health and Rehabilitation and No Place Like Home.”
Each player will receive a golf pullover, beer stein, Oktoberfest lunch and a chance to win numerous prizes.
Those who don’t wish to golf may still support the event by purchasing the Oktoberfest ticket for $40.
All registrations can be completed online at www.cvmchospital.org/golf or by calling Albert at 782-1512.
