The R-C Morning Report for Aug. 7

We’ll be out to Fish Springs early this morning to survey the damage from last night’s flood. The National Weather Service posted the flooded garage from Lupo Lane, and flooding at a home on Blue Sage Road, along the with the closures of Toler Lane and Fish Springs Road.

Douglas County commissioners will discuss an agreement with Indian Hills on the reconstruction of Vista Grade south of Mica Drive to Amador Circle using $1.32 million in redevelopment agency funds. Also on the agenda is East Fork Fire Chief Tod Carlini’s performance review. Commissioners meet 1 p.m. today at the historic Douglas Courthouse, 1616 Eighth St.

The forecast calls for mostly sunny skies today with a high of 87 degrees. There’s a chance of isolated thunderstorms tonight before 11 p.m.
