The R-C Morning Report for July 31

It’s not August, yet, and according to the forecast, not particularly hot either, but Hot August Nights will be stopping for lunch in Minden today. So, not really night either. Expect Esmeralda Avenue and all around the part to be closed around 10 a.m. today and stay that way until 3 p.m.

When August does arrive on Friday, it will bring the St. Gall Rummage Sale in Gardnerville and Mumbo Gumbo in Minden Park. On Saturday morning, Alpine County is celebrating its sesquicentennial. You can enjoy most of those events and be back in Gardnerville in time for Taste of the Towns.

We might see some isolated thunderstorms today, but the forecast calls for them to clear out until Monday. Expect a high temperature today of 89 with the wind light, picking up to 5-10 mph in the afternoon.
