The R-C Morning Report for July 16

A flash flood watch has been issued for noon to 9 p.m. today and Thursday from Susanville to Mammoth Lakes by the National Weather Service. Areas south of Highway 50 will see the greatest chance of storms today. On Thursday, the storms are forecast to spread north.

An injury accident on State Route 208 near Buckboard in Smith Valley was reported by the Nevada Highway Patrol at 6:04 a.m. They appear to still be working on it more than an hour later.

It’s clear out this morning, but that will change this afternoon. So far the storms have concentrated further south, but the chances improve that we’ll get something. Otherwise expect a high near 95 degrees.
