The R-C Morning Report for June 17

Douglas County commissioners will gather 4:30 p.m. today to cross the “t” on the 2014 election primary results. These meetings are usually pretty short so expect them to be done around 4:45 p.m.

A couple of folks face sentencing in batteries in Douglas County District Court this morning. Michael Blummer, 19, is accused of hitting a man over the head with a glass bottle on March 7 at the Johnson Lane sandpits. Gardnerville resident Gwyn E. Douglas, 38, slashed her boyfriend’s arm back on March 15.

There’s a big plume of moisture stretching from Reno to Battle Mountain where a freeze warning has been issued for Wednesday morning. Here 44 degrees with a light breeze feels cold. Today’s high is expected to hit 67 degrees with the wind out of the north at 10 mph.
