The Morning Report for June 4

Interim County Manager Larry Werner is on the R-C Running Commentary this morning with all you ever wanted to know about the county’s utilities. This dovetails with next Wednesday’s utility workshop. Send you questions to editor@recordcourier.com.

Minden Town Board members will be following up with the radar signs on Wildrose at their meeting 5:30 p.m. at the CVIC Hall. There’s also a proposal from Bently to purchase town property at 1613 Water St. for no more than $240,000.

Early voting continues today, Thursday and Friday this week before it wraps up in preparation for real voting on Tuesday. Early and absentee voting’s up to 13 percent so far this year. That’s 3,652 votes.

Expect more of the same on the weather front, with sunny skies and temperatures in the mid-80s. The wind will pick up out of the east 5-10 mph in the afternoon.
