The R-C Morning Report for May 6

About 50 people turned out for a town hall meeting about the intersection of Highway 88 and Centerville Lane on Monday evening. I’ll have a story up about the meeting here in a bit. A roundabout was the compromise position.

In addition to discussion of a major variance for the Smith’s sign to include fuel prices, Gardnerville Town Board members will discuss crack sealing in Chichester Estates and the acquisition of 5 acres next to Heritage Park. G Board members meet 4:30 p.m. today in the town hall on Highway 395.

There’s a chance of scattered showers today with thunderstorms possible after 11 a.m. It rained lightly last night. Expect the high to hit 56 degrees today with breezy conditions. We should dodge the freeze tonight by a couple of degrees.
