Recruitment opens for the Douglas County manager’s position on Friday, if Douglas County commissioners give the green light today.
Paying $135,000-$185,000 a year, depending on experience, the position also offers a “generous benefits package, including retirement, deferred compensation plans, cafeteria health coverage plans, life insurance, long-term care, vacation leave, sick leave, administrative leave, employee assistance program and tuition reimbursement.”
Recruiters Peckham & McKenney will present a brochure to commissioners at today’s meeting, where they’ll be asked to approve it.
The brochure specifies that any candidate that selected as a finalist will be asked to authorize the release of information or withdraw. Under Nevada’s Open Meeting Law hiring of a county manager is a public process.
The county is seeking to replace former County Manager Steve Mokrohisky, who resigned to take a job as county administrator in Lane County, Ore.
