The R-C Morning Report

The Peace Officers Memorial Run should be picking up somewhere near Jack Wright Pass this morning. I don’t have a good schedule for them, but I’m going to try and catch them in the Pine Nuts this morning. The K9 officers usually run the section through Gardnerville around lunchtime.

Today is Sheila Gardner’s last day at The Record-Courier before she retires from the news business. Since 1981, she has worked at The R-C for about a quarter of a century. On Tuesday Judge Tod Young declared April 29 Sheila Gardner Day. Today we’ll have an open house 2-4 p.m. to say farewell to her.

The weather will be nice but maybe a little hot for the runners. Expect sunny skies and a high temperature of 73. The wind will be out of the east at 5-15 mph.
