The R-C Morning Report for April 28

The big yellow buses are back out on the street and traffic around Douglas High School is redlining as more students get their licenses. Be careful out there and watch out for children walking to school now that spring break is over.

There are a dozen cases on this morning’s law and motion calendar for Douglas County’s 9th Judicial District Court. Rebeka Haelsig, 49, is facing arraignment in a third instance of driving under the influence.

I got a fifth of an inch of rain north of Genoa over the weekend, and some places received more than a foot of snow in the mountains. But that’s about it for that for the foreseeable future as the clouds are gone from the long-range forecast. Expect sunny skies with a high temperature of 66 degrees with a light breeze in the afternoon. We’ll crack 80 by Thursday.
