The R-C Morning Report for April 21

Lake Tahoe resident Tatiana Leibel is back in district court this morning for the continuation of her arraignment in the Feb. 23 shooting death of her husband. Last week Judge Michael Gibbons raised the 50-year-old’s bail to $1 million from $75,000 pointing out that the bail was low for a murder case. Leibel is denying the charge, and the judge may set it for trial this morning.

School’s out in Douglas this week for spring break, so the speed limit signs will be off and there won’t be buses on the road. But there will be children crossing streets to get to parks and other places, so keep an eye out for them.

It’s going to be a breezy Monday, with the southwest wind blowing 5-10 mph, increasing to 15-20 mph in the afternoon, gusting to 30 mph. There’s a chance we’ll see some rain tonight and Tuesday, then a cold snap on Tuesday night with the low dropping to 30.
