The R-C Morning Report for April 14

Two women accused of shooting men are scheduled to appear in Douglas County District Court this morning. Nicole Followill faces a murder charge in the death of her Toler Lane roommate on the day she was kicking him out. Tatiana Leibel is accused of shooting her husband at their Lake Tahoe home.

The Lake Tahoe shooting victim’s estate is also in court this afternoon seeking the appointment of an executor. Harry Leibel’s estate is also seeking probate for the will.

The California Highway Patrol is reporting a busy weekend along Highway 395 south of Topaz, including two pretty impressive DUIs and a pot bust.

Nothing very newsy about the weather, as sunny skies and highs in the low 70s continue today. It could be breezy on Tuesday, but that’s all I’ve got. The lows are remaining well above freezing, maybe giving the apple blossoms an opportunity to set.
