Volunteers are needed for the Court Appointed Special Advocate program in Douglas County.
Trained volunteers develop information to assist judges in making decisions in cases involving child custody, neglect or abuse.
To learn more about the CASA program, an informational meeting is 10 a.m. April 11 in the Judicial and Law Enforcement Building, Courtroom II, 1038 Buckeye Road, Minden.
CASA training is held once a year and the informational meeting is an opportunity to learn more about the program, training, caseload, and other information.
Current volunteers will answer questions and share their experiences about advocacy for children who are victims of abuse and neglect or at the center of a custody battle in a divorce.
Training sessions begin April 14.
For more information, and are unable to attend the meeting, call Linda or Denise at 782-6247.
