The R-C Morning Report for Feb. 21

If you can dodge a wrench …, well we’ll see how well Douglas County Sheriff’s Office personnel and East Fork Firefighters can dodge a ball 6 p.m. at Pau-Wa-Lu Middle School in the big match to benefit Elisa Storke who is undergoing treatment for cancer. We’ve got tickets here at The R-C.

The number of flu cases last week dropped to seven in Douglas County, the lowest number we’ve seen since the beginning of the year, and down from 15 the previous week. Medical folks say we may see a resurgence should the weather turn bad.

Looks like we’ll have sunny skies and warmish days through the weekend at least. There’s some precipitation in the long-range forecast for next Wednesday. But for today expect mostly sunny skies, with a high around 60 degrees, with a light breeze this afternoon.
