Storytelling. The Douglas County Museum & Cultural Center's storytelling will join the Saturday Family Day Event. A storytelling of "What I did this summer" is set for Saturday at the center, 1477 Highway 395, Gardnerville. Lego Batman. The Douglas County Public Library is hosting a First Saturday of the Month Family Movie, "The Lego Batman Movie" (rated PG) 2 p.m. Saturday in the Minden Library meeting room. Blood Drive. The United Blood Services will be in the parking lot of the Carson Valley Inn 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Friday. This is one of the last chances to qualify before the Sept. 5 deadline for an entry into the 2017 Summer Ride to Save Lives sponsored by Chester's Reno Harley-Davidson and United Blood Services. The grand prize is a 2017 Harley-Davidson Iron 883.
