Rummage Sale. The St. Gall Catholic Church's annual rummage sale is set for 7 a.m.- 5 p.m. today and 7 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday at the church, 1343 Centerville Lane, Gardnerville. Clothes, furniture, sporting goods, housewares, boutique, seasonal, antiques and more. Donuts, coffee, hot dogs and soft drinks for sale. Vested therapy animals will be allowed, no strollers, no shopping carts, no drink/food allowed in the pastoral center. Information, 782-2852.


Laughter & Faith. The High Sierra Fellowship is hosting a 32One Improv show 7 p.m. today at the fellowship, 1707 Lucerne St., Minden. Information, 782-7486 or

Concert Series. GE Family Summer Concert Series continues 6-8 p.m. today featuring "Mumbo Gumbo" at Minden Park.

33rd Birthday. The Carson Valley Inn is celebrating its 33rd anniversary with "Blues, Brews & BBQ's" Saturday. Brews & BBQ starts at 5:30 p.m., music starts at 6 p.m.

Dangberg Ranch. Author Bonnie Nishikawa presents "My Life as a Home Kid," a presentation about the Nevada State Orphans/Children's Home 10 a.m. Sunday at the Dangberg Home Ranch, 1450 Highway 88 Minden. This is a free event.


Porch Parties. Sunday Porch Parties continue with "Mudd Bonz" 2-6 p.m. Sunday at the Genoa Bar. The Genoa Bar hosts porch parties on the first and third Sunday of the month May-October featuring bands on the outside stage, a Slushy Rum Runner and food from the Genoa Station Bar & Grille.


Voodoo Cowboys. The Voodoo Cowboys will perform 8 p.m.-1 a.m. today and Saturday in the Cabaret Lounge at the Carson Valley Inn. Playing together since 2009, the Voodoo Cowboys have appeared at most major casino venues in Nevada playing country music (and not the cryin' in your beer stuff) and a selection of classic rock 'n' roll.

Steve Lord. Steve Lord will perform 6-10 p.m. Sunday and Monday in the Cabaret Lounge at the Carson Valley Inn. A guitarist with dynamic vocals, Lord is a man of a thousand songs presenting oldies, country, pop, blues, jazz, soul and rock 'n' roll.
