Fishing gear theft hooks Fernley man

A Fernley man was arrested Sunday in Bridgeport after Mono County deputies received a report of a grand theft of fishing gear and cell phones. The victims in the theft identified Paul Harlow, 37, and gave deputies a description of his vehicle and told them he possibly had a firearm. The vehicle was spotted in Bridgeport, and deputies pulled Harlow over with weapons drawn. He was taken into custody and the material was recovered, as was a loaded .357 handgun. A second victim contacted deputies about a theft and was able to identify his property among that confiscated from Harlow. …
