Woman fights meth trafficking charge

An Indian Hills woman is fighting drug trafficking charges filed after more than a pound of methamphetamine was allegedly found in a safe at her home. Tearsa Lynn Chaidez, 32, appeared for a preliminary hearing in East Fork Justice Court on Friday. She’s accused of having 1 pound, 14 ounces of methamphetamine in a safe inside her home along with scales, a ledger and $4,800 in cash. East Fork Justice of the Peace Tom Perkins found there was marginal evidence that Chaidez could have committed the crime and ordered her bound over to district court. She is scheduled to appear …
