The R-C Morning Report for July 25

The gaming win at Stateline’s casinos ended the fiscal year down 3.34 percent for the fiscal year after June came in slightly down from the same month last year. Casinos in the East Fork Township and Carson City were also down a percent year to year, according to figures released this morning.

A vehicle fire in 4 p.m. Thursday in Woodfords was handled by firefighters onscene without spreading to the wildlands. It was pretty quiet on Thursday, here’s hoping for a similar day today.

Elks Carnival and craft fair open at 5 p.m. today in Lampe Park. They start at 11 a.m. on Saturday and run until midnight. Also starting today are the Splash Dogs in Heritage Park, and the 55th reunion of the Douglas High class of 1959.

It will be sunny and warm today with a high of 91 degrees with a light breeze 5-10 mph in the afternoon. There’s a chance that thunderstorms will develop over the weekend.
